<p><strong>Dual Award -</strong> Degree students in business management will attain a dual award from KDU and University of Lincoln UK (ranks high #317 on QS World Ranking).</p> <p><strong>Practical focused assessment</strong> - KDU Penang is moving towards application of learning where assessments for subjects such as business, management and marketing are about 80% from course work while accounting is about 50%/50% between course work and exams.</p> <p><strong>Hands-on projects opportunities</strong> - All courses within the Accounting & Business Management faculty will have projects. For example, marketing students run marketing campaigns to get customer feedback at Uniqlo apparel outlets to understand buying decisions. </p> <p>Students will then analyze their data along with conducting research work and finally present their findings in an open public space in the campus to build public speaking skills.</p> <p>E-commerce specialised students have to develop a website and sell actual products or services online as part of their project assessment. </p> <p><strong>Supporting your busniess while studying</strong> - KDU Penang has a Student Entrepreneur Programme which organizes . Students who want to start businesses are also supported by mentors from the institution's network. </p> <p>The School also organizes annual entrepreneurial competitions and invite prominent and successful business entrepreneurs to judge.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity to work with real clients</strong> - Final year degree students may get the opportunity to be assigned to solve real problems fro clients. Some partners in the part include Public Mutual and Tech Dome from Penang.</p> <p><strong>Cultural Exchange in UK</strong> - Students can opt to study 1 semester at the University of Lincoln for 1 semester with accommodation fully covered for 7 weeks.</p> <p><strong>ACCA acceleration programme</strong> - Under the Bachelor of Accountancy programme, students will get exemption of up to 9 papers for ACCA and will have to complete a remaining 5 papers after graduation. <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Up to 100% course-work assessment</strong> - Students will be highly involved in many hands-on work from research, to designing, to technical drafting and group projects that will be presented in front of peers and lecturers.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">The syallabus also emphasizes on <strong>project management and feasible project costing</strong> through the understanding of efficient design processes, green-building materials and the application of high-tech digital software. </p> <p class="MsoNormal">Subjects for interior architecutre and interior design courses are assessed between 50%/50% of course-work and exam to 100% course-work.</p> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Relevant syllabus with industry expert guidance</strong> - An industry advisory panel helps the course maintain its relevance in the industry and many veterans from the design and architecture industry is invite to lecture, provide workshop training and even take part in the assessment of final year projects.</p> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Showcasing your work</strong> - At the end of the course, students will organize exhibition events to showcase their work in public venues. Past venue include exhibitions at 1st Avenue Mall in Penang. </p> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Serve actual clients</strong> - The School is working towards building more relationships with industry partners to extend real project opportunities to studnets. <p><strong>Dual Award - </strong>Degree students in electrical & electronics will attain a dual award from KDU and Northumbria University UK (Top 10 universities in UK and ranks top 750 under QS World Ranking). <p><strong>Dual recognition - </strong>Degree graduates in hospitality will attain both KDU and IMI International MAnagement Institute in Luzern, Switzerland recognition.</p> <p>Degree graduates for culinary arts on the other hand receives a dual award from KDU and ICI International Culinary Institute in Luzern, Switzerland.
