Criteria

  • Current bachelor degree students who achieve CGPA score greater than, or equivalent to 3.75 after one year of study in UOW Malaysia.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership ability, entrepreneurial spirit and other essential attributes.
  • Active participation in clubs / societies management, events and activities.

Highlights

  • Successful recipients are required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.50 (or equivalent) throughout their duration of study in order to maintain their scholarship.
  • The scholarship is only valid for the program in which the recipient has enrolled and for the normal duration of study in UOW Malaysia.
  • Scholarship recipients who receive scholarship value of >30% of the tuition fee are required to undergo a Student Ambassador program of 48 hours per year during the duration of their scholarship, which includes working with different departments within UOW Malaysia for enhanced exposure, acting as an Ambassador of UOW Malaysia at various events, attending leadership development programs etc, in order to continue their scholarship in subsequent semester(s).

Details

The Vice-Chancellor Scholarship is awarded to current UOW Malaysia students who have consistently delivered outstanding results in their bachelor degree program and demonstrate ambition to positively impact the community and society.

Application

  1. The deadline for scholarship application, with submission of all relevant documents is 15 September 2024.
  2. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview within one month after the application closing date. All shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the application. Only successful candidates will be notified of the outcome after the interview.
