Pathway Match automatically checks whether your exam results meet the minimum entry requirements for university courses. This auto-results check determines whether your exam results (e.g. SPM, UEC, IGCSE, A-Level and many more) meet the:

• subject & grade entry requirements : You may need to achieve a certain grade for specific subjects to qualify. e.g. you need a credit in SPM-level Mathematics to meet the Psychology, Computing and Actuarial Science entry requirements, while Law courses do not have any subject-specific requirements. Some courses have even higher entry standards e.g. a Foundation course to study Medicine (MBBS) require a B in SPM-Level Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• pathway entry requirements : If you are a SPM/IGCSE/O-Level school leaver, you must have at least 5 credits (5 Cs) to enter a pre-university programme like A-Level, STPM, Foundation and Australian Matriculation; or at least 3 credits (3 Cs) to study Diploma, before you can progress to study a Bachelor's Degree. If you are a UEC school leaver, you can directly enter a degree course if you have 5 credits (5 B6) or else you would still need to study a Diploma or pre-university course, for which you'll need at least 3 credits (3 B6) to qualify. Once you possess a Diploma (CGPA 2.00) or a recognised pre-university qualification like A-Level (2 Es), Foundation (CGPA 2.00), STPM (CGPA 2.00), SACE / WACE (ATAR 50), CPU (Avg. 50%) or IB Diploma (26 points), you can then progress to study a Bachelor's Degree.
• university-specific entry requirements : Some universities require much better results and grades for entry e.g. UoSM, Nottingham and Reading

To be able to objectively compare course fees between universities, i.e. the nett fees, you first need to know the total course fee breakdown by tuition fees and resource fees, as well as the highest instant scholarship amount i.e. eligible scholarship that can be instantly approved upon application without further shortlist or interview process. It's also important to know the fee breakdown because most scholarships, even the 100% full uni scholarships, typically only cover the tuition fee amount.

With Pathway Match results, the nett fee is already calculated based on the rules above so that students can easily compare the final fee cost that are displayed. 

Most students, who are pursuing a higher education except for international pre-universty programmes (e.g. A-Levels), are eligible for PTPTN as long as their courses are recognised by MQA. The loan amount that you can get when you apply for PTPTN would vary based on 3 main factors:

• Household Income : You can get the highest PTPTN loan amount if your parents' income is below RM 4,000 and the household is registered for BPR (Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat, previously BR1M). You get 75% of the PTPTN loan amount if the income is above RM 8,000; only 50% if income is above RM 8,000.
• Field of Study : The PTPTN loan amount varies based on what course you are studying e.g. PTPTN for a degree course is generally higher than that for Diploma. The loan for health sciences courses (e.g. Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing) is typically much higher. For example, you can get a maximum loan of up to RM 50,000/year to study a Medicine degree, which is almost sufficient to cover the MBBS tuition fees in UTAR.
• University Type : If you are studying in private institutions e.g. Taylor's, MMU or APU, the loan amount applicable is over double the amount of those students in public instutitions e.g. UM, UKM, USM.
