  • Excellent academic achievements as mentioned below or results of equivalent qualification (Forecast result is accepted for application if the official result has not been released at the point of new intake): 
    • A-Levels : 4 As
    • STPM : CGPA 4.0
    • Matriculation : CGPA 4.0
    • UEC : 8 A1s (including English)
    • SACE/AUSMAT: ATAR 95
    • Diploma: CGPA 4.00
    • IB: ≥40
    • Foundation: CGPA 4.00
  • Exemplary leadership attributes
  • Active involvement in extra-curricular and community activities
  • Have received outstanding recognition due to notable achievement

For Music Scholarship:

  • Musical achievements in instrumental or vocal performance.
    Applicants must attend a compulsory scholarship audition.

Highlights

Successful recipients must:

  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.75 for every semester. Recipients with a CGPA lower than that will have their Scholarship Awards revoked.
  • Apply for the UCSI University Trust Scholarship using Bachelor’s Degree Year 1 result for continuation of scholarship. Shortlisted applicants are required to undergo a scholarship interview and will be subject to the decision made by the scholarship selection committee.
  • Voluntarily contribute effort and time of not more than 4 hours a week or 15-45 hours per long semester (7.5-22.5 hours per short semester) to assist the UCSI College/UCSI University and the UCSI University Trust in its various workplace and community projects.
  • NOT be bonded to or be a recipient of any financial aid or award/scholarship/bursary from other educational institutions or organisations.
  • Maintain their discipline, attendance and exemplary behaviour throughout their studies at UCSI University.
  • Take additional English course(s) at UCSI University concurrently at own cost, IF applicant does not fulfil the University's english requirement.
  • Payback the amount of scholarship received to-date, IN CASE of withdrawal by recipients, or termination by UCSI University Trust due to failure to adhere to scholarship's terms and conditions.

Details

The Tan Sri Ahmad Razali (TSAR) Merit Scholarship Award is named after the late Tan Sri Ahmad Razali (Chairman, Board of Governors from 1998 to 2001). This scholarship is offered to deserving Malaysian students, who demonstrate excellent academic achievements and exemplary leadership attributes, participate actively in extracurricular activities, community involvement and have received outstanding recognition due to notable achievement.

Application

Applicants: 

  1. Must meet the requirements to register for the selected programme and pay the registration fee to first obtain the UCSI University's Letter of Acceptance.
  2. Submit the application form together with the Letter of Acceptance to the UCSI University Trust before the application deadline (typically a full month before the intended degree intake month).
  3. Will be notified via e-mail or SMS of the interview date, time and venue IF shortlisted
  4. Produce certified true copies of examination results and other supporting documents stipulated in the form during the interview
  5. Will be informed by the UCSI University Trust via e-mail within 2 weeks IF application is successful
  6. Must notify UCSI University of acceptance within 2 weeks of being offered the twin-sharing university accommodation. The offer will be withdrawn and will not be
    redeemable or exchangeable for cash after the 2 week period should there be no notification of acceptance.
