Criteria

  • Combine parental income of RM8,000 or below. Applicants must submit the following documents for verification:
    • Both parents’ payslip
    • Both parents’ Income Tax Declaration
  • 2 A’s and above in the recent SPM/IGCSE examinations.
  • Minimum of B in Add Maths and Modern Maths

Highlights

  1. The awards and bursaries are given based on examination results and/or need basis. All fees must be paid in the interim.
  2. Any premature withdrawal from the programme of study by the recipient will result in the immediate cessation of this award. Recipient will be required to refund the scholarship amount disbursed and pay all outstanding fees within 14 days from the date of withdrawl
  3. Recipients must be prepared to serve in various administrative roles for 16 hours per long semester or take part in student activities specified by DISTED, if required to do so by the college.
  4. Disbursement of Scholarships will be allocated equally across long semesters only.

Awards

Tuition Fee
  • RM 8,000 tuition fee waiver in total, with disbursement in the following appproach:
    • RM1,250 in tuition fee rebate for the first 4 long semesters (RM5,000).
    • The remaining sum of RM3,000 will be disbursed upon the candidate fulfilling the following criteria:
      • Complete the Bridging Program
      • Complete a minimum of N2 in Japanese Language
      • Gain successful entry into a Japanese University

Details

This scholarship is only applicable for students applying for the Diploma in Computer Science (Software Engineering stream) & Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering ONLY, who are planning to pursue the DISTED Japan Transfer Programme. 

Application

  1. The application form is available at the Front Office, Admissions & Records Office, and the Scholarship Unit of the college.
  2. The application closing date is 10 working days from the programme commencement date. Late applications will not be accepted.
  3. Application process will require:
    • Interview
    • Personal statement of not more than 300 words
  4. Only results which have a validity of 2 years or less will be recognized for any scholarship application to DISTED College.
  5. The awards and bursaries will take effect only after the signing of the scholarship and bursary award agreement.
