Criteria

  • Malaysians only
  • Excellent academic achievements as mentioned below or other equivalent qualifications (Forecast result is accepted for application if the official result has not been released at the point of new intake).
  • For Full Scholarship, students must have minimum: 
     
    • SPM : 10A+/A including English Language
    • O-Levels: 8A*/A including English Language
    • A-Levels : AAA
    • STPM : CGPA 3.80
    • Matriculation : CGPA 3.80
    • Foundation : CGPA 3.80
    • Diploma : CGPA 3.80
    • UEC : 8As including English Language
    • SACE/AUSMAT : ATAR 90
    • IB : 40 points
  • For Partial Scholarship, students must have minimum: 
     
    • SPM : 7A+/A including English Language
    • O-Levels: 6A*/A including English Language
    • A-Levels : ABB
    • STPM : CGPA 3.50
    • Matriculation : CGPA 3.50
    • Foundation : CGPA 3.50
    • Diploma : CGPA 3.50
    • UEC : 5As including English Language
    • SACE/AUSMAT : ATAR 85
    • IB : 36 points
  • Exemplary leadership attributes
  • Active involvement in extra-curricular and community activities
  • If applicant possess outstanding music talent i.e. in instrumental or vocal performance, lower grades may be considered but applicants must attend  a compulsory scholarship audition

Highlights

Successful recipients must:

  • Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.50 (for full scholarship) or CGPA of 3.30 (for partial scholarship) in every semester. Recipients with a CGPA lower than that will have their Scholarship Awards revoked.
  • Apply for the UCSI University Trust Scholarship using Bachelor’s Degree Year 1 result for continuation of scholarship. Shortlisted applicants are required to undergo a scholarship interview and will be subject to the decision made by the scholarship selection committee.
  • Voluntarily contribute effort and time of not more than 4 hours a week or 15-45 hours per long semester (7.5-22.5 hours per short semester) to assist the UCSI College/UCSI University and the UCSI University Trust in its various workplace and community projects.
  • NOT be bonded to or be a recipient of any financial aid or award/scholarship/bursary from other educational institutions or organisations.
  • Maintain their discipline, attendance and exemplary behaviour throughout their studies at UCSI University.
  • Take additional English course(s) at UCSI University concurrently at own cost, IF applicant does not fulfil the University's english requirement.
  • Payback the amount of scholarship received to-date, IN CASE of withdrawal by recipients, or termination by UCSI University Trust due to failure to adhere to scholarship's terms and conditions.

Details

The UCSI University Trust Scholarship is open to Malaysian students who enrolled in any of the foundation programmes (leading to a degree*) or any diploma or degree* programmes at UCSI University. The scholarship is offered to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, leadership attributes, participate actively in extracurricular activities and community involvements.

Current UCSI students who have excellent academic grades and a track record of at least one year while studying at UCSI University, may apply for the Scholarship.

This scholarship offers either full or partial tuition fee waivers for the student's undergraduate study period at UCSI University.

Application

Applicants: 

  1. Must meet the requirements to register for the selected programme and pay the registration fee to first obtain the UCSI University's Letter of Acceptance.
  2. Submit the application form together with the Letter of Acceptance to the UCSI University Trust before the application deadline (typically a full month before the intended degree intake month).
  3. Will be notified via e-mail or SMS of the interview date, time and venue IF shortlisted
  4. Produce certified true copies of examination results and other supporting documents stipulated in the form during the interview
  5. Will be informed by the UCSI University Trust via e-mail within 2 weeks IF application is successful
  6. Must confirm acceptance of the scholarships within 2 weeks, failing which it will be automatically withdrawn
