Criteria

To be considered for the Haji Abdullah's Elite Scholars Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Students must maintain a CGPA of 3.5 and above in their studies
  • Open to all MAHSA University's enrolled students 
  • Students who have financial constraints, excel both academically and in extra-curricular activities.
  • Actively participate in extracurricular activities and demonstrate leadership potential. Attendance of extracurriculars will be monitored by Student Central.
  • Demonstrate financial constraints that pose a significant barrier to their educational pursuits.
  • Exhibit exceptional resilience and determination in overcoming challenges and pursuing their academic goals.

Highlights

  • Scholarship renewal is contingent upon maintaining the minimum CGPA requirement, satisfactory academic progress, and continued involvement in extracurricular activities.
  • Scholarship recipients may need to contribute 120 scholarly hours through volunteer work or other activities, prorated per semester or half-yearly, to the MAHSA community
  • Recipients must uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and maintain a commitment to ethical conduct.
  • Recipients must maintain satisfactory attendance in all classes and adhere to the institution's attendance policies by 80%.

Details

The Haji Abdullah's Elite Scholars Program is a prestigious scholarship initiative that honors and supports exceptional students who have overcome adversity and demonstrated remarkable academic achievement and extracurricular involvement.

Application

  1. Application deadlines: During Orientation Week
  2. The Student shall complete the application Form for the Scholarship and submit the application form together with the following documents to the Prospective Student Office:-
    1. Completed Scholarship Application form
    2. 1 Passport size photograph
    3. Certified true copy of the Student’s NRIC/Passport
    4. Certified true copy of the Guarantor’s NRIC/Passport
    5. Certified true copies of the examination certificates and/or transcripts
    6. Extracurricular certificates
    7. Latest EA/E Form (Income Tax Returns Form) and/or Parent/Guardian’s three-month pay slip or any documentary evidence of financial hardship
  3. The Student must submit the certified true copy of the actual results. Forecast results are not acceptable.
  4. The Student may be required to attend an interview for the Scholarship and the date, time, and venue of the interview will be informed to the Student.
  5. The candidate must be invited by the Dean of Faculty to apply for HABES Program
  6. Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to the student's account by the institution's financial aid policies.
