Criteria

  • The scholarship is based on forecast SPM examination results.
  • Applicant must be enrolled as a student of City University and pay full enrolment fee to be eligible to apply for the scholarship. All fees paid are non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the scholarship awarded.

Highlights

  • The student must maintain full-time enrolment & successfully complete the program.
  • The student must maintain at least 85% or more attendance in lecturers and tutorials for each subject.
  • The student must maintain a minimum academic achievement of GPA 2.85 and CGPA 3.0 for Diploma / Foundation and Degree respectively for each semester over a minimum of 4 subjects.
  • Successful applicants must be committed to participate in activities that foster cross-cultural awareness within City University and local community.
  • The student must maintain a minimum of 42 contribution hours (long semesters) of his / her time to assist the faculty.
  • The actual SPM results, when received, will have no bearing on the scholarship amount awarded, except if the received actual results are better than the forecast results, in such a case the relevant adjustment to scholarship amount will be effected; otherwise status quo as per forecast results remains. However in the event if the applicant fails the SPM, then the scholarship will be revoked completely.

Tuition Fee

The scholarship values are at the sole discretion of City University. The scholarship will be disbursed via a waiver of tuition fees for 1 year only.

Details

City U High Achiever i-Scholarships are freshmen scholarships provided to identify and support outstanding Malaysian SPM students who demonstrate academic excellence, high intellectual capacity, sound character, strong leadership potential and a passion for creativity and innovation.

Application

  1. Complete the Scholarship Application Form and attach certified true copies of academic results transcript.
  2. New students are required to submit the Application Form to apply for the chosen program and pay the Application and Registration Fee before submitting the Scholarship Application Form.
  3. New students are required to submit the respective forms and attachments to the Scholarship Officer in the One-Stop Centre before the specified deadline. Late applications will not be considered for selection.
  4. All scholarship applicants will be evaluated and short listed by the Scholarship Committee and the Scholarship Committee reserves the right to revise the criteria from time to time without prior notice. The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final.
  5. Successful Applicants are required to submit a copy of the semester result and co-curriculum activities to the Scholarship Officer in order for the scholarship to be continued to the next semester.
