Aesthetic Doctor

About

Sometimes addressed as aesthetic physicians, aesthetic doctors are general practitioner medical doctors with special interest, training and qualification in the aesthetic medicine.

Nature of the job

Aesthetic doctors primarily deal with non- or minimally-invasive procedures such as botulinum toxin (BOTOX) injection, dermal fillers, chemical peels, various lasers and weight-loss programmes. Patient confidentiality is very important, as most aesthetic clients prefer to keep their consultations and treatments private. The very well established aesthetic doctors may have a pool of very high profile clientele! It can be a very exciting and rewarding career, as you get to help boosting your patients’ confidence by making them feel and look their best!

You can work for a company or take that big step and set up your own clinic. Hours are largely dependent on your clients.
