Course Content
On arrival in first year, BA History students select History as their core subject (major) and choose two other subjects (minors) to start on a learning pathway for their degree.
YEAR ONE
Pathway 1: Historical Studies
- History, with minors in two of the following:Journalism and Global Media, Political and Sociological Studies, Philosophy, Economics and Public Policy, French, Italian
Pathway 2: History, Politics and Philosophy
- History with minors in Political Science, Sociology and Policy and Philosophy
Pathway 3: History (joint honours)
- History with two other subjects from the Arts subject groupings.
YEAR TWO
Pathway 1: Historical Studies
- History, with the minor subjects chosen in first year
Pathway 2: History, Politics and Philosophy
- History, with minors in Political Science, Sociology and Policy and Philosophy
Pathway 3: History (joint honours)
- History, with one of the other subjects chosen in first year
YEAR THREE
- work placement, study abroad or complete further complementary studies
YEAR FOUR
- Students complete their studies in History and their other subject(s) within their chosen learning pathway.
