Candidates are required to conduct independent research under an academic supervisor/supervisory committee, complete the thesis of about 35,000 words for examination, and orally defend his/her thesis in a proposal defence and attend a viva voce.
Student to complete a Research Methodology course covering qualitative and quantitative components and other relevant courses - as determined by the supervisor - no later than 6 months after enrolment and to be ready to present and defend his/her proposal and the final thesis to a thesis committee.
The candidate will be awarded the MPhil degree upon the successful oral examination (viva voce) of the thesis.
