Criteria

Applicable for all students newly enrolling i.e. once they registered in the Foundation study programme at University of Technology Sarawak.

Highlights

  • The scholarship recipient is obligated to continue studying for any bachelor's degree at the University of Technology Sarawak (UTS), after completion of the Foundation programme. If the student fails to do so, he will need to pay back the scholarship in full.
  • If the student is dismissed from study; withdraws from study; or leaves the study for any other reasons, the student has to pay back the amount of scholarship already paid for the duration of his study at UTS
  • Student is eligible to apply for the scholarship only once for the duration of this study programme. The student will no longer be eligible to receive scholarship for any Change of Programme or Readmission purposes
  • The student must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 for every semester, in order to retain the scholarship.

Tuition Fee

Tuition fees will be funded in full.

Hostel fund:

  • Semester 1: The student must obtain at least 4As to be eligible to get the sponsorship for hostel during Semester 1.
  • Semester 2 and 3: The student must obtain GPA 2.75 and above to retain the sponsorship for hostel during Semester 2.

Details

Tuition fees will be automatically funded in full under the UTS Foundation Scholarship for all students.

Application

  • Student has to apply for the scholarship through UTS OCULUS after Course Registration is approved
  • After Approval, the student needs to sign an agreement once the application is approved.
  • As part of Hard Copies Submission, applicants have to submit two sets of completed agreements together with Guarantor Form (attached with the latest payslip & photocopy IC) at SDSD Office
