Students must meet one of the following minimum criteria:
- SPM/IGCSE: 5As
- STPM: CGPA 3.0
- A-Levels: 2As
- UEC: 3As
- SAM/HSC/AUSMAT: TER/UAI75
- CPU: Avg. 75% from 6 best subjects
- Foundation/Diploma: CGPA 3.5

- Students must maintain a CGPA of 3.75 or higher to retain the scholarship for the second semester onwards as part of IUKL's Tuition Waiver Scheme.
- The scholarship value is 50% from the second semester onwards
