Criteria

  • Students must be able to demonstrate that they previously had, or currently have a parent or sibling studying at the University of Tasmania
  • This discount is also extended to students who have more than one brother or sister, who has or is studying at the University of Tasmania.
  • The bursary is available for the Foundation Studies Program, Undergraduate Degrees (including an Honours year) and Postgraduate Coursework Degrees.

Students who receive more than one scholarship offer cannot retain two tuition fee scholarships; the scholarship with the highest value would be the recommended scholarship to accept.

Details

The Family Alumni Bursary provides international students who previously had, or currently have a parent, brother or sister studying at the University of Tasmania, with a 10% fee reduction on the registered tuition fees for the duration of the course.

Application

Students must submit supporting documents to be assessed for this discount. Students must also attach the following certified documents together with their application to demonstrate eligibility for the Family Alumni Bursary:

  • Applicant’s Birth certificate (Original and English translation)
  • Sibling's Birth certificate (Original and English translation)
  • Passport (bio-data) page for Applicant
  • Passport (bio-data) page for Parent
  • Student ID cards or evidence of enrolment
  • Adoption Evidence (only required if applicable)

Please note that students must provide this information before census date otherwise this bursary cannot be processed until the following semester.
