Tuition fee waiver for international postgraduate taught (Master’s) students
The International Masters Achievement Scholarship is a funding scheme by the University of York that supports international postgraduate taught students. It rewards eligible offer holders with a tuition fee reduction to help them achieve their academic goals at York.

- Have a conditional or unconditional offer to study a postgraduate taught course at the University of York by 28 August 2026
- Be paying fees at the overseas fee rate (including EU) student.
- You will not be eligible if you hold a 100% tuition fee scholarship or are fully sponsored.
- Students on excluded courses/pathways are not eligible (including online/distance learning, research degrees, PGCert, certain medical and professional programmes).

- Offer holders may be required to meet conditions such as accepting the scholarship formally and paying a deposit if required
- International Masters Achievement scholarships may be combined with other University of York scholarships or external funding as long as this does not exceed 100% of your tuition fees.
- If you have been informed that you require a credibility interview, your scholarship will be conditional on the successful outcome of this interview. Should you be unsuccessful, the scholarship offer will be rescinded.

Students on the following pathways (either previously or currently) are not eligible for these scholarships:
- Hull York Medical School
- MSc Nursing (Mental Health) and MSc Nursing (Adult)
- International Pathway College
- Distance and online learning courses
- Part-time courses
- Partnership and exchange students (including visiting students)
- Kaplan International College London
- MA Public Policy (Mundus MAPP)
- LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE1 and SQE2)
- Postgraduate Research courses
- PGCert courses
