This scholarship provides tuition fee waiver for postgraduate students in music composition or contemporary performance.
The Holmes Scholarship is awarded by the University of York’s School of Arts and Creative Technologies to support postgraduate students specialising in composition or contemporary performance.

- Open to EU, International (non-EU) and UK (home) students
- Must be either a PhD student in music composition or contemporary performance, or an MA Music composition student
- FT and PT students are eligible to apply.

- Fee waiver details are as follows:
- MA Music Composition/PhD Music Composition/PhD Contemporary Performance (New Students): GBP 1,500 for first year
- PhD Music Composition (Progression students entering Year 2): GBP 1,500 for 2 years
- Only one scholarship is awarded each year
