This scholarship provides tuition fee waiver international students
This scholarship is awarded to outstanding international students enrolling to Master Taught programme at University of Sussex
Requirements
Requirements
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Be classified as ‘Overseas’ for fee purposes
- Be taking up a place on a full-time Masters degree, starting September 2026
- Be self-financing
- Have exceptional academic grades (see 'Qualifications advice' for indication of minimum grades required; this is guidance and does not include all accepted qualifications)
- Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.67.
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you:
- Are applying for a Masters at a university that is not at the University of Sussex
- Are progressing into the final year of an integrated Masters at Sussex
- Are studying an online course
- Are already holding another University of Sussex scholarship (i.e. Chancellor's Masters Scholarship)
- Are studying one of the Excluded courses listed below

- If a scholar defers or temporarily withdraws from their course, they will no longer be eligible to receive the scholarship.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with the Sussex Alumni Scholarship, if applicants are eligible for both, we will always award the highest value scholarship.

Fee waiver of GBP 5,000 in the first year of full-time study
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are going to study any of the following:
- Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
- Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
- Degrees funded by the Research Councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding)
- Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
- MSc Climate Change, Development and Policy
- MA Development Studies
- MA Food and Development
- MA Gender and Development
- MA Globalisation, Business and Development
- MA Governance, Development and Public Policy
- MA Poverty, Policy and Development Practice
- MA Power, Participation and Social Change
- Online courses
- School Direct teaching courses
