  • This award is for new full-time postgraduate taught Masters applicants with Overseas fee status whose chosen programme is within the Faculty of Arts.
  • The scholarship is open to all areas of study within the Faculty of Arts, and is based on academic merit.
  • Schools: Available to students in the following Schools and Departments: Art History, Classics, English, Film Studies, Graduate School, History, International Relations, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Social Anthropology, Business School, International Education and Lifelong Learning Institute.
  • You must have applied for a taught postgraduate masters course (MLitt, MRes, MSc, MPP) within the Faculty of Arts.
  • You are required to provide one academic reference and one personal reference. As well as university transcript(s), including interim transcripts for any degrees pending.

Tuition fee waiver of GBP 3,600 for 1 year duration

Postgraduate

Requirements

  • Available for entrants to a School of English postgraduate taught masters course (MLitt). All School of English MLitt entrants, UK or International, can apply.
  • Please apply after you have submitted your application for a place at St Andrews.
  • Ensure that the information provided in the application process is accurate, honest and provided in good faith.
  • Declare any other scholarships or funding that have been secured in relation to the programme of study (excluding student loans).
  • Meet all conditions attached to their academic offer, plus any other conditions attached to the Award.
  • Matriculate/register on their academic programme by the official start date.
  • Provide any necessary documentary evidence in the format required upon application or upon request by the scholarships team by the specified scholarship deadlines.
  • Accept the terms and conditions of the individual Award and complete any actions required to secure the award as specified in the award offer letter.

Awards Details

  • Tuition fee waiver of GBP 2,500. If the successful candidate already holds a scholarship covering full tuition fees, the award can be paid as maintenance.
  • This award is available for one year of postgraduate study.
