Liverpool Excellence Scholarships are merit-based awards for high-achieving international students entering postgraduate taught programmes at the University of Liverpool. These scholarships recognise strong academic performance and are designed to support outstanding students through tuition fee reductions.

Requirements
- Have a First Class or equivalent undergraduate degree. Check the equivalent for your country.
- Pay tuition fees for the course yourself at the international rate.
- Be joining a full or part-time postgraduate taught master’s course, including MRes, at the Liverpool campus in the academic year 2026/27.
- Accept your offer of a place and pay your tuition fee deposit by the advertised deadlines.
- New international students, as well as current University of Liverpool international students, are eligible for this scholarship, including undergraduate students, study abroad and exchange students, students who have completed a University of Liverpool degree at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, and international alumni of the University.
- You will not be eligible if you:
- Studied a Pre-master’s course at the University of Liverpool International College.
- Are having your fees paid by a sponsor, such as a government, commercial organisation or employer, on your behalf
- Are joining a PGCert, Professional Doctorate (including DDSc awards), MPhil, MArch, or PhD

- If you've applied for or intend to study part time, any tuition fee discount you're eligible to receive will be applied at a pro-rata rate over the duration of your course.
