Tuition fee waiver for eligible international students
This scholarship is an award for students paying overseas fees joining an eligible Masters level or PGCE programme taught on campus at UEA. It is designed to reward academic excellence for international applicants.

Applicant must meet the following requirements to be eligible:
- Be an International student with ‘Overseas’ fee status
- Be joining an eligible Masters level or PGCE programme taught on campus at UEA
- Achieve the equivalent of UK 2:2 bachelor's degree classification or higher
- Eligibility excludes applicants from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Colombia, Ghana, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam or Zimbabwe (as these countries have separate scholarship categories; International PG Merit Scholarship A (2026/7) & International PG Merit Scholarship B (2026/7).)
- Students receiving sponsorship covering full fees by an outside body or government organisation are not eligible for this scholarship. Government or educational loans that require repayment do not affect eligibility.

- This scholarship can only be received alongside the International Early Payment Awards. You are not able to receive any other UEA Scholarships in addition to this. If you are eligible for another UEA Scholarship of higher value, this will automatically replace this Scholarship.

Awards Details
Fee waivers are determined based on the applicant’s final undergraduate grade. The details are as follows:
- UK 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree: GBP 5,000
- UK 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree: GBP 4,000
- Scholarship will be offered for the first year only
The following courses are not eligible:
- Any MBBS course
- Any Integrated Masters
- MSc Global Plant Health
- MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement
- MSc Occupational Therapy
- MSc Physiotherapy
- MA The Arts of Africa, Oceania and The Americas
- Any PGCert, PGDip, Pre-Masters, Graduate Diploma or Integrated Masters programmes
- Online or distance learning courses
