This scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver for postgraduate students
Excellence for Energy Scholarship is awarded to talented postgraduate students studying on one of two energy programmes starting in September 2026.

Requirements
In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarships, you must:
- Be classed as domiciled in (living in) Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam.
- Hold and accept an offer by 24th July 2026 from University of Birmingham to start in September 2026 for one of the following courses at Birmingham's UK campus;
- MSc Global Energy Technologies and Systems
- MSc Sustainable Energy Engineering
- Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
- Expect to at least meet the entry requirements for the programme, applicable to your country of domicile by 24th July 2026
- Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
- Following enrolment in September 2026, you will be required to pay your net tuition fees for the first year by 1 November 2026
- Selection for the award will be based on academic excellence and the details provided in the scholarship application form.
