This scholarship provides tuition fee waiver for postgraduate students
The Michelle Zalkin Scholarship supports exceptional students with a proven interest in child protection to undertake the UCL MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health.
Requirements
Requirements
- Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to child protection.
- Applicants must have an unconditional or conditional offer to study the MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health programme for entry in September 2026 for full-time or modular/flexible. Applicants from other courses at UCL are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Applicants can be based in the UK or Overseas.
- Eligible candidates planning to start the programme in 2026 must apply for the award by 30 June 2026.
- To be considered for the award, applicants must – by the date of the scheme application deadline – hold an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional).
- Students will be assessed on the basis of the scholarship application form and in particular on their personal statement, as well as their original application for the course.
- An interview will be conducted to assess commitment to child protection.

- Award recipients are obliged to inform GOS ICH immediately of any other funding they are awarded toward their UCL programme of study.
- All awards are subject to the provisions of the UCL’s General Regulations for Scholarships, Awards, Bursaries, Prizes and Medals.
