The SOAS Master’s Scholarship (International) is designed to recognise and award overseas applicants with outstanding academic performance.

How to qualify

Requirements

  • You must hold an offer for a full-time Postgraduate Taught (on campus) programme.
  • You must be an overseas fee-paying student.
  • You must hold a minimum UK upper second-class (2:1) or international equivalent.
  • You must not be in receipt of any other SOAS scholarship or full-fee scholarship/sponsorship from any other source
  • All joint partnership programmes are ineligible for this scholarship.
  • This scholarship is now open for 2026/2027. The deadline for each award round is:
    • First round - 28 February 2026 GMT+11:59pm
    • Second round - 30 April 2026 BST+11:59pm
    • Third round - 30 June 2026 BST+11:59pm
Things you should be aware of

Highlights

  • You can apply for multiple scholarships and discounts, but can only accept and apply one to your tuition fees.
  • If you are successful and allocated the SOAS Master’s Scholarship (International), you will be required to pay the CAS deposit of GBP 4,000 as part of the conditions to accept the award.
