The SOAS Grant is designed to support the applicants who are academic achievers but in financial need.

Requirements
- Any on-campus undergraduate, taught masters or research degree programme beginning in the 2026/27 academic year.
- Both full-time and part-time programmes are eligible.
- This scholarship is open to Home and Overseas fee status applicants. Applicants must:
- Be new admissions, starting your programme in 2026/27.
- If applying for undergraduate courses, possess or expect to be awarded excellent grades in A levels or equivalent qualification.
- If applying for masters courses, possess or expect to be awarded a first-class honours undergraduate degree from a UK university or international equivalent.
- If applying for MPhil/PhD courses, possess or expect to be awarded a masters degree with distinction from a UK university or equivalent.
- Apply for the scholarship by 12 noon (UK local time) on 11 May 2026.
- Candidates will be assessed based on their academic merit, financial need and personal statements by a selection panel.
- Candidates will need to have an unconditional offer for their programme by the time the Scholarship Panel meet.

- Amount cannot be used towards any Pre-sessional English programme.
- Scholarship cannot be combined with any other major scholarship or sponsorship.
- Applicants who have secured funding for their course may not be considered for this award.
- This award is available for the 2026/27 academic year and cannot be deferred.

Awards Details
- One scholarship available valued at GBP 24,000.
- Amount will be deducted primarily from tuition. If your tuition fees are less than the award amount of GBP 24,000, the remaining award will be paid out to student as a stipend.
- Any amount remaining after tuition fees have been deducted will be paid directly to the student in three instalments across the 2026/27 academic year. This scholarship is for one year only at full-time rate (or part-time equivalent).
