This scholarship recognises excellence for well-rounded students.
The Business Excellence Scholarship supports students enrolling in a Massey Business School undergraduate degree by providing tuition fee assistance in years one and two, as well as developmental mentoring.
Requirements
Requirements
Applicant must meet the following requirements:
- be transitioning to Massey University from secondary school
- be intending to enrol full-time (minimum 105 credits) in the first year of a Bachelor of Business or a Bachelor of Accountancy
- have attained an NCEA Level 2 Certificate with a merit endorsement or better (or equivalent qualification for non-NCEA or international applicants)
- have been the leader of a school academic or cultural group, or captain of one of the school’s sports teams, or a leader within a community group or organisation
- The selection is based on evidence of academic achievement as demonstrated in NCEA Level 2, or equivalent, and a personal statement on the applicant’s suitability to receive the Business Excellence Scholarship, with evidence of leadership and potential leadership.
- The scholarship may be held in conjunction with other scholarships, bursaries, or awards, so long as those scholarships, bursaries, or awards permit co-tenure.

- If a recipient withdraws from the approved programme and are eligible for a refund of their fees, Massey University will retain the scholarship proportion of the fee paid to the recipient.
- Each scholarship instalment is conditional upon successful completion (pass grade) of study in the year prior.

- Fee waiver of NZD $ 5,000
- The tuition fee payments will be made in two equal instalments of up to $2,500 to the Massey University Student Fee account after the official financial withdrawal date of semester one for year 1 and year 2 of the scholarship award.
