- Applicants must meet any of the following minimum academic requirements:
- Foundation:
- SPM: at least 5As
- IGCSE: at least 4As
- IB MYP: 4 subjects with min 6 points
- Degree:
- STPM: ABB
- UEC: 2A 3B (max 16 points)
- Malaysian (Matriculation / Foundation / Diploma): CGPA 3.33
- A-Level: ABB
- IBDP: 32
- OSSD / CPU: 77%
- Australian Matriculation: ATAR 90

Successful recipients must:
- Scholarship holders are required to officially accept the scholarship and complete 2 to 4 recognised tasks annually, depending on the type of scholarship.
- Maintain a grade A or 70% average to continue receiving the scholarship in Years 2 and beyond.
- Agree to become an Ambassador for UORM during the course of your studies. This may involve attending student fairs, welcome receptions and providing testimonials
- Agree to the use of photo and name for UORM promotional purposes, unless the Head of Student Services have been explicitly notified
- Maintain an enrolled status in the course of study. The scholarship may be terminated if the enrolment status is inactive at census date.
