This scholarship is awarded to students who have represented their state or country in sports

How to qualify

Requirements

  • Applicant must have represented the state/country in any sports during their upper secondary (Form 4-6).
  • The sport must be affiliated with Olympic Council Malaysia (OCM)/National Sports Council (NSC).
  • Applicant must be a full-fee paying student pursuing any of the following course:
    • Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science
    • Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Science
    • Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Sports Coaching and Performance Analysis.
  • Applicant must not be in receipt of any other scholarships/grants unless written permission is first obtained from the University.
  • The Bursary is only for Year 1 Semester 1 students.
  • Applicant may be required to attend an interview.

TAR UMT Main Campus in Kuala Lumpur sprawls across an area of 171-acre. Meanwhile, the branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Johor and Pahang are purpose-built complete with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities for learning and teaching.

TAR UMT offers programmes at pre-university, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree and Postgraduate levels that are widely recognised by the academia and industries for their depth and breadth of scope and academic rigor. Today, TAR UMT has a student population of about 34,000 including international students from more than 20 countries enrolling in more than 200  programmes over a wide range of disciplines from foundation and A Level to accountancy, finance, business, economics, engineering, built environment, applied sciences, Computer Science, ICT as well as mass communication, creative arts, social science and hospitality management.

These programmes are conducted by 7 faculties and 2 centre namely Centre of Pre-University Studies, Faculty of Accountancy, Finance and Business, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Built Environment, Faculty of Communication and Creative Industries, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities and Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research.
