Dasein-EXSIM Full Scholarship is awarded to outstanding SPM, UEC or IGCSE students enrolling to Diploma programmes at Dasein Academy of Art

How to qualify

Requirements

  • Applicants must submit an art portfolio and attend an interview.
  • Applicants must achieved a minimum of 6As for SPM/UEC or 4As in IGCSE.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest and passion for art and design
  • The scholarship is offered strictly to newly enrolled and registered Diploma students at Dasein Academy of Art
  • Scholarship offers will only be made upon receipt of actual results. Forecast results are not accepted. Certificate must be issued within the last 3 years.

Highlights

  • Scholarship recipients must achieve a minimum of GPA 3.6 during Year 1 Sem 1 - Year 2 Sem 4 and a minimum of GPA 3.3 during Year 2 Sem 5 - Year 3 Sem 8.
  • For students eligible for other scholarship rebates (study grants, Top Students Awards) the scholarship applies to the net balance of tuition fees after deduction of relevant rebates or bursaries.
  • If the recipient accepts any other scholarship, this scholarship will be terminated automatically, and the College may recover fees pro-rata based on the benefit received
  • The College may involve scholarship recipients in interviews, advertisement, photography, or other publicity, including the Student Ambassador programme to promote the institution.
  • The College may also involve students in extra-curricular activities, competitions, or additional course-based modules to prepare them for a multifaceted career.
  • The scholarship is offered strictly to enrolled full-time students who have paid their registration fees. Recipients must complete the entire course duration.
  • Scholarship students may be asked to help with college activities such as office support, assisting lecturers with research or helping out at events and programmes as mentioned in terms and conditions.

With that ideal in mind, DASEIN Academy of Art was established in 1996 by a team of avid educators and professionals from the creative industry. Aspired to revive the role of creative education from stereotyped qualifications back to the cultivation of individual distinction, an aspired team dedicated to personal enrichment was formed. DASEIN Academy of Art takes pride in creative transformation via Edu-Mentoring® - essentially a people-centered approach when it comes to guiding and mentoring students on individual development and growth. Edu-Mentoring® is made up of three components. Edu-Clinic - where lecturers and students have one-to-one sessions to promote understanding and individual progress. Industry professionals are often invited to mentor and inspire our students via the Edu-Lab. Students are also exposed to social activities aimed at helping the underprivileged via Edu-Social programs.

DASEIN Academy of Art is a art college run by artists for future artists. All our lecturers are experts in their academic roles and experienced artists in the creative industry. We deliver specifically tailored courses to small groups of dedicated students, and we focus on unearthing each student's creative best and personal development in preparing them for a multifaceted career.
