At Victoria University (VU), the institution is committed to empowering the next generation of research leaders. The new VU Global Research Scholarship is available to eligible international students for the full duration of a research degree.

Requirements
- The Scholarship is open to international students commencing a masters by research or doctor of philosophy degree at VU.
- The Scholarship is only available to students paying full tuition fees for their research degree and cannot be combined with any other tuition fee scholarship.
- Students receiving advanced candidature for previous research studies are eligible for the Scholarship providing the duration of their study at VU remains over one year.
- Applicable to Master’s or PhD research programs in the following areas:
- Health and Sport
- Sustainable Industries and Liveable Cities.

- Successful applicants will be notified of the scholarship in their Letter of Offer.
- The Scholarship applies only to eligible students during their period of study at VU and cannot be allocated retrospectively to students who are no longer enrolled.
- Students receiving approved Leave of Absence (Intermission) or reducing their study load after commencing at VU will remain eligible to receive the Scholarship until the stated end date in their letter of offer, subject to meeting all other eligibility requirements
- VU reserves the right to revoke the Scholarship if a student:
- fails to pay all tuition and other applicable fees/costs in full by the census date of each study period.
- fails to meet the conditions of their student visa.
- breaches any of these terms and conditions.

Fee waiver of 20% for entire duration of research study. May refer below for the duration of the programme:
- Master of Applied Research: 4 semesters (2 years)
- Master of Research: 3 semesters (1.5 years)
- Doctor of Philosophy (Integrated): 8 semesters (4 years)
- Doctor of Philosophy: 8 semesters (4 years)
