To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying to the University as an international student.

- have received an offer for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course at The University of Western Australia
- have achieved an equivalent:
- minimum ATAR 85.00; or
- minimum WAM 65.00
- If studying an approved International Academic Pathway (Articulation Program), students must have achieved a WAM equivalent of more than 75.00

To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying for an eligible undergraduate bachelor degree or Assured Pathway course. The following exclusions apply:

To be eligible to be considered for the scholarship, a candidate must be applying for an eligible postgraduate degree (by coursework). The following exclusions apply:

All Combined Bachelor’s and Combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are considered eligible:
- Whilst most of these degrees are over four years (based on 8 semesters of full time study), the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce; and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science; are over five years (based on 10 semesters of full time study) and as such, eligible students will receive up to $60,000* over five years (yearly eligible amounts based on WAM).
