Applicant must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:

  • Must study on-campus at the Armidale campus
  • UNE Sydney students are not eligible
  • Must be a citizen of South East Asia & South Asia Countries
  • Must be an international student
  • Must be enrolling full-time in a coursework program at UNE
  • Must be commencing studies at UNE for the first time in 2026
  • Must not be transferring from another UNE course
  • Must not be financially sponsored by:
  • Home government, Foreign government, Australian Government programs (e.g. Australia Awards), Home university, Employer, International organisations (e.g. World Bank)
  • Must receive an offer of admission (note: applying does not guarantee the bursary)
