Full sponsorship of tuition fees and living expenses incl. accommodation during entire duration of studies
The Program Khas Lepasan SPM Dalam Negara (LSPM) by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam is a sponsorship scheme for high-achieving SPM graduates to continue their studies within Malaysia, supporting education from the pre-university level up to a first degree at selected local institutions, subject to the required academic criteria and conditions. The programme is offered as a convertible education loan (PBU), with repayment terms determined according to the sponsor’s conditions.
Eligible studies include the preparatory programme identified for the current year, as well as first-degree programmes at public universities (UA) and selected private higher education institutions (IPTS).
Scholarship Requirements
- Malaysian citizen;
- Has been listed among the students eligible to apply for LSPM by JPA (please click the link below to check).
- Applicants must be free from chronic or infectious diseases, or any condition requiring ongoing treatment, and must be medically fit to complete their studies;
- The applicant and/or their parents must not be blacklisted by JPA or involved in any legal action with the organisation;
- If awarded the sponsorship, the applicant is not allowed to receive financial aid or sponsorship from any other party at the same level of study;
- Must be sitting for the SPM examination for the first time, either in a secondary school or as a private candidate;
- Must not be older than 19 years old (20 years old for transition students) as of 31 December in the year of sitting for SPM; and
- Priority is given to candidates from families in the B40 and M40 income categories.
- Students must have achieved at least 9A+ in any SPM subjects, regardless of the results in other subjects (if any);
- For the Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, the programme is open only to students who are not officer cadets; and
- Must begin preparatory studies before 31 December of the year the sponsorship is offered.

LSPM is offered in the form of a convertible loan (Pinjaman Boleh Ubah, PBU), which may be converted to a full scholarship under certain conditions.

- Submissions can be made online starting from 3 April - 16 April 2026
- Applicants would need to check if they are shortlisted for further assessment and when the interview appointment is set.
- Shortlisted candidates would then undergo an interview plus student assessment.
