The PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Programme (PESP) is a long‑established sponsorship scheme (since 1975) for Malaysian students who have completed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
Under PESP, selected students get financial support to pursue foundation courses (if needed) and full undergraduate degrees at approved local universities (including Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS / UTP), other top Malaysian universities, or approved overseas universities.
PESP supports a broad array of disciplines — including engineering (e.g. petroleum, chemical, electrical, mechanical), science & technology, business/economics, IT/computer science, law, and other fields that align with PETRONAS and industry needs.
