The BNM Kijang Undergraduate Scholarship is offered by Bank Negara Malaysia to support outstanding Malaysian students pursuing their first degree at approved local or international universities. It is aimed at nurturing future talent in fields important to the nation, such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Law, Computer Science, and other related disciplines.
The scholarship provides full financial assistance, including tuition fees and living allowances, while also offering development opportunities such as training and exposure to the central banking environment. Upon graduation, scholars are required to serve a bond with Bank Negara Malaysia, contributing their skills and knowledge to the institution.
Scholarship Requirements
- Excellent examination results in any of the following:
- A-Level: Minimum of 3As
- STPM / Diploma / Matriculation: Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50
- Australian Matriculation: Minimum ATAR of 85%
- American Foundation Program: Minimum SAT score of 1,500
- International Baccalaureate (IB): 38
- For candidates currently pursuing undergraduate study: Minimum CGPA of 3.50 / Second Class Upper / WAM of 75
- SPM: Minimum of 5 credits including Bahasa Melayu, English and Mathematics
- Strong leadership qualities, proven teamwork capabilities, outstanding performance in extra-curricular activities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Not exceeding 25 years of age on 1 July 2025
- Obtained an offer to pursue, or is currently pursuing, undergraduate study at one of BNM's list of approved universities.
