HCUC Sports Scholarship

• National athletes who represent Malaysia in Sanctioned International Games or Championships (i.e. ASEAN University Games, Southeast Asian Games).
  • Contribution hours will be waived for scholarship holders who participate and win at least a bronze medal during the course of study.
  • 30 hours of the contribution hours will be waived for scholarship holders who participate but do not win any medal during the course of study.
• State athletes who represent National Sanctioned Games or Championships (i.e. MSSM, SUKMA, SUKIPT, SIPMA).
  • 45 hours of the contribution hours will be waived for scholarship holders who participate and win at least a bronze medal during the course of study.
  • 15 hours of the contribution hours will be waived for scholarship holders who participate but do not win any medal during the course of study.
• The scholarship holder is trusted to acknowledge and uphold the reputation of HCUC at all times in the games participated. The Scholarship holder shall resubmit an application for a Scholarship upon meeting the requirements of the University College.
• It is the responsibility of the Scholarship holder to reapply for a scholarship by the first month of Year 2 Semester 1.
• This means that the Scholarship holder should submit latest results and application form (obtainable from any Education Counsellor) to the Student Services.
• Scholarship holders are only eligible for reapplications in the first month of Year 2 Semester 1 if they have fulfilled the minimum entry requirements prior to joining Year 1 Semester 1.
• Any new Scholarship reapplication in subsequent semesters will require a minimum CGPA score that is higher than or equivalent to 3.00.
• Scholarship applications that are received after the deadline has passed will be rejected.
• To maintain the Scholarship, the Scholarship holder is required to meet a minimum CGPA score that is higher than or equivalent to 3.00 at the end of every semester.
• The Scholarship awarded is based on waiver for tuition fee only.
• In the case of course transfers, the Scholarship will only be applicable for the course units that are not transferred.
• The Scholarship holder is required to assist the University College in marketing and promotional activities, student activities, University College events and other administrative work as and when required by the University College. Failure to comply with such requests without reason/s acceptable to the University College may result in suspension or termination of the Award/Scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY CONTRIBUTION HOURS (PER SEMESTER)
30% and 50%  - 15 hours

Note: Contribution hours are not required to be fulfilled during the internship semester.
