Criteria

  • Student is required to be within the top 2% of the school population
  • Foundation students must attain a minimum average of 85% during the Foundation studies.

Highlights

  • Students who entered university without a High Achievers' Scholarship may be eligible for the DES when they perform outstandingly on the programme they have undertaken
  • Students will need to meet the criteria to be eligible for the following year
  • Students who have been awarded scholarships from UNM or receiving sponsorships from external sponsoring bodies will not be eligible for the reduction.
  • The scholarship is awarded for one academic year only, renewal of scholarship is contingent upon making the Dean's list upon progressing in each subsequent academic year
  • Undergraduate students are required to maintain a minimum annual average of 80% to remain eligible for the scholarship.

Details

The Dean’s Excellence Scholarships (DES) amount to a fee reduction of 25%. They are awarded to top achieving students at the point of progression for each academic year
