Criteria

  1. Malaysian citizen.

  2. Registered student of UTAR MBBS programme.

  3. The combined monthly income of applicant’s spouse or parents should not exceed RM5,000.00.

  4. MUET band score of 4 or better; IELTS average band score of 6.5 or better
  1. Meet the following academic requirements:
    • STPM/A-Levels - 4As (CGPA 4.00)
    • UEC - 8As
    • CPU - 95%
    • SACE/AUSMAT - ATAR 95%
    • IB - 7 points for every of 6 subjects
    • UTAR Foundation - CGPA 3.90

Application

  1. The Scholarship Application Form can be downloaded from DEAS webpage at http://www.utar.edu.my/deas > UTAR Scholarships/ Loans. 

  2. Applicants will be interviewed by UTAR Scholarships and Loans Committee. Decision of the Committee is final.

  3. The applicant should present documented evidence (awards and other certificates) of co-curriculum activities, leadership qualities, commitment to voluntary work and achievements in the fine arts or other forms of creativity.

  4. Closing Date for submission is two weeks after the commencement of a new intake.
