This School of English scholarship is an award available for entrants to a School of English postgraduate taught masters course (MLitt). All School of English MLitt entrants, UK or International, can apply.

- Available for entrants to a School of English postgraduate taught masters course (MLitt). All School of English MLitt entrants, UK or International, can apply.
- Please apply after you have submitted your application for a place at St Andrews.
- Ensure that the information provided in the application process is accurate, honest and provided in good faith.
- Declare any other scholarships or funding that have been secured in relation to the programme of study (excluding student loans).
- Meet all conditions attached to their academic offer, plus any other conditions attached to the Award.
- Matriculate/register on their academic programme by the official start date.
- Provide any necessary documentary evidence in the format required upon application or upon request by the scholarships team by the specified scholarship deadlines.
- Accept the terms and conditions of the individual Award and complete any actions required to secure the award as specified in the award offer letter.

- Core personal details may be passed to the benefactors of your scholarship. Your name, the name of your town of origin, school/college and subject of study will be passed to the donor of the scholarship with your consent.
- Your scholarship award in subsequent years of study is conditional upon your successful completion of the academic requirements to progress in your proposed subject of study at the University of St Andrews. If your scholarship is subject-related then your award is usually also conditional upon your continuing to study that specific subject.
- Attendance at Development related scholarship events (including invitations to meet the donors) is strongly encouraged. You will be invited to these as appropriate by the Development Office.
- Submission of reports throughout the period of scholarship support. You are required to submit an Introductory Biography at the start of your award period and the Development Office will contact you towards the end of each semester for a report on your time at St Andrews to share with the donors of your award. This will be an annual cycle for the duration of your award.
- The Enid Greig Nicol Scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with any other scholarship administered by the University that contributes towards tuition fees, accommodation fees or living costs, unless prior written agreement has been obtained.

- Tuition fee waiver of GBP 2,500. If the successful candidate already holds a scholarship covering full tuition fees, the award can be paid as maintenance.
- This award is available for one year of postgraduate study.
