Birmingham Excellence for Energy Scholarship

In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarships, you must:

• Be classed as domiciled in (living in) Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam.
• Hold and accept an offer by 24th July 2026 from University of Birmingham to start in September 2026 for one of the following courses at Birmingham's UK campus;
  • MSc Global Energy Technologies and Systems
  • MSc Sustainable Energy Engineering
• Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
• Expect to at least meet the entry requirements for the programme, applicable to your country of domicile by 24th July 2026
• Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
• Following enrolment in September 2026, you will be required to pay your net tuition fees for the first year by 1 November 2026
• Selection for the award will be based on academic excellence and the details provided in the scholarship application form.
