- Location : Seri Iskandar, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia.
- Nearby : The campus lies in a relatively rural / developing area. It is ~40 km from Ipoh, and about 213 km from Kuala Lumpur. The surroundings include landscaped grounds, lakes, hills (former mining terrain), and natural green spaces.
- Getting here : By car: via Ipoh–Lumut Highway (southbound) or via North–South Expressway (Gopeng / Simpang Pulai exit) (northbound). Local bus services to Seri Iskandar town, then to campus. The campus is ~40 km from Ipoh. Also reachable via flights to the nearby Sultan Azlan Shah Airport and road transfer
- Faculties/Programmes : Foundation programmes (Engineering & Science, Business Management & Computing). Undergraduate: Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Petroleum, Materials, Integrated Engineering etc.), Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management / Computing, Applied Sciences (e.g. Chemistry). Postgraduate: MSc and PhD programmes in multiple engineering & technology fields; master’s by coursework & research.
- UTP is wholly owned by PETRONAS (Malaysia’s national oil & gas company). The campus design is acclaimed; the academic complex is shaped in a “star” layout with canopy structures to provide shade and weather protection. Research is a major thrust; UTP partners with PETRONAS and industry in niche areas like self-sustainable buildings, transport infrastructure, hydrocarbon recovery, autonomous systems, etc. It has modern facilities: labs, libraries, sports complexes, a health centre, student lodging, green landscaping, connectivity infrastructure
