This scholarship provides tuition fee waiver for athletes

This scholarship is awarded to students who have represented Malaysia as national-level athletes.

条件要求

  • Must be a Malaysian citizen.
  • Candidates who intend to further study in the University - Diploma / Bachelor Degree programme.
  • National athletes who have represented Malaysia in Sanctioned International Games or Championships including Southeast Asian Games, ASEAN University Games, and ASEAN School Games.
  • State athletes who have represented the state in National Sanctioned Games or Championships including MSSM and SUKMA SIPMA and won at least a bronze medal.
  • TAR UMT athletes who have represented TAR UMT in Universiade Games, Asian University Games, SUKMA, SUKIPT, SIPMA and won at least a bronze medal.
  • Applicants must provide a proven record of competing in national/international level competitions over the last 2 years.
  • Not simultaneously receiving any scholarship/sponsorship / financial assistance/bursaries from TAR UMT or any other organizations/agencies.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview
你需要注意的事项

重点

  • Scholar must train and represent TARUMT in MASISWA, SUKIPT and IPT games or any other tournaments as and when required by TARUMT Management.
  • Scholar must maintain good grades at the minimum CGPA of 2.00 for the duration of the scholarship.
  • The continuation of scholarship is subject to the review on yearly basis of scholar’s sports performance and conduct.
  • The TARUMT Sports Scholarships is only awarded once for the pursuit of any undergraduate programmes in the University using the same entry qualification. Should a student, for any reason, withdraw or are withdrawn by the TARUMT from undergraduate programmes, the student would no longer be eligible for the TARUMT Sports Scholarship if he/she later choose to enroll in the same or any other undergraduate programmes.

Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) has continually excelled with more than 55 years of academic excellence, producing more than 310,000 graduates who have gone on to become industry captains, professionals and leaders. The University name is synonymous with high quality education and vibrant student activities that go beyond education. TAR UMT’s main campus is located in KL with its five branches based in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang, Sabah.

TAR UMT Main Campus in Kuala Lumpur sprawls across an area of 171-acre. The campus is an iconic landmark for its architectural feat in blending historical buildings with modern structures as well as the verdant greenery. Meanwhile, the branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Johor and Pahang are purpose-built complete with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities for learning and teaching.

TAR UMT offers programmes at pre-university, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree and Postgraduate levels that are widely recognised by the academia and industries for their depth and breadth of scope and academic rigor. Today, TAR UMT has a student population of about 34,000 including international students from more than 20 countries enrolling in more than 200  programmes over a wide range of disciplines from foundation and A Level to accountancy, finance, business, economics, engineering, built environment, applied sciences, Computer Science, ICT as well as mass communication, creative arts, social science and hospitality management.

These programmes are conducted by 7 faculties and 2 centre namely Centre of Pre-University Studies, Faculty of Accountancy, Finance and Business, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Built Environment, Faculty of Communication and Creative Industries, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities and Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

At TAR UMT, students have a wealth of opportunities to excel academically while enriching their overall learning experience. With access to over 100 diverse clubs, societies and uniformed groups, students can pursue their passions and interests beyond the classroom.
