This scholarship provides tuition fee waiver for eligible applicants

Sibling Discount is offered to students who have a sibling currently studying at TARUMT

申请条件说明

条件要求

  • Open for Malaysians only.
  • Available for first-time registered students pursuing Foundation/Diploma/Bachelor Degree programmes (full-time) who have paid full fees/paid fees (by installment) for the semester of the intake enrolled.
  • Must have sibling studying at TAR UMT.
  • Applicant’s sibling must be currently pursuing Foundation/Diploma/Bachelor Degree/Postgraduate programmes (full-time) and are full-fee paying students in the same semester.
  • The applicant and sibling must have one or both parents in common.
  • This does not include family members outside sibling relationship such as fostered, step-brother/step-sister, godbrother/godsister etc.
  • If the applicant and sibling are both first-time registered students, only ONE may be considered. If they have another sibling who is an existing student, BOTH may be considered.
  • Applicants on Conditional Offer of Admission may only apply for sibling discount after they have been offered and accepted the Full Offer of Admission.
  • The Applicant and sibling Birth Certificates must be uploaded in the application.

By end of the semester, the siblings must NOT fall under any of the following:

  • graduated from their programme
  • withdrawn from their programme
  • on deferment of study
  • repeating their year of study and not permitted to proceed to the next year of study
  • have completed the programme within the minimum duration of study but with outstanding/failed course(s)/thesis/research project
  • have any outstanding fees

Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) has continually excelled with more than 55 years of academic excellence, producing more than 310,000 graduates who have gone on to become industry captains, professionals and leaders. The University name is synonymous with high quality education and vibrant student activities that go beyond education. TAR UMT’s main campus is located in KL with its five branches based in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang, Sabah.

TAR UMT Main Campus in Kuala Lumpur sprawls across an area of 171-acre. The campus is an iconic landmark for its architectural feat in blending historical buildings with modern structures as well as the verdant greenery. Meanwhile, the branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Johor and Pahang are purpose-built complete with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities for learning and teaching.

TAR UMT offers programmes at pre-university, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree and Postgraduate levels that are widely recognised by the academia and industries for their depth and breadth of scope and academic rigor. Today, TAR UMT has a student population of about 34,000 including international students from more than 20 countries enrolling in more than 200  programmes over a wide range of disciplines from foundation and A Level to accountancy, finance, business, economics, engineering, built environment, applied sciences, Computer Science, ICT as well as mass communication, creative arts, social science and hospitality management.

These programmes are conducted by 7 faculties and 2 centre namely Centre of Pre-University Studies, Faculty of Accountancy, Finance and Business, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Built Environment, Faculty of Communication and Creative Industries, Faculty of Social Science and Humanities and Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

At TAR UMT, students have a wealth of opportunities to excel academically while enriching their overall learning experience. With access to over 100 diverse clubs, societies and uniformed groups, students can pursue their passions and interests beyond the classroom. This vibrant array of extracurricular options foster a dynamic campus environment that encourages personal growth and the development of essential life skills.
