- Open to Malaysians only.
- Applicable only for students of Chinese Independent School in Johor.
- Applicants must come from low-income families
- Application valid for Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma programmes offered by Southern UC.
- Fulfil basic qualifications set by the Southern Foundation Selection and Award Committee.

- Recommendation from the School Principal: Students are required to submit a recommendation letter together with his/her application form.
- The recipients are required to achieve minimum of CGPA 2.5 in each semester.
- The bursary will be suspended, and the amount granted in the past must be refunded immediately if
- has changed courses, transfer to another university, withdrawal, or termination of studies the Southern UC.
- has submitted falsified or fake documents.
- has been found guilty of violating the law and sentenced by the court.
- has a serious violation of the University rules.
- fails to comply with contractual requirements or breaches of contract
- If the recipient’s academic performance does not meet the required standard, the bursary will be suspended. If the student fails to meet the standard three times, the bursary will be terminated
- Being volunteer to serve at the Student Recruitment Office for a certain number of hours.

- Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine: 50% waiver
