条件要求
To be considered for scholarships applicants must:
- Be assessed as international for fee purposes.
- Hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2026/27 academic year.
- Already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A level or equivalent.
- Must accept Newcastle University as firm choice with UCAS
- Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application and may be contacted for additional information.

- Scholarships are renewable annually and will be subject to academic progression.
- Fully sponsored students do not qualify for these awards.
- To be eligible to receive awards, applicants must have selected Newcastle as their Firm choice (CF or UF) of university with UCAS by 5th June 2026. Applicants who decline an offer or select Newcastle as their Insurance choice are not eligible to receive awards. Students changing from Insurance to Firm are not eligible to receive VCES awards.
- For students on placements, the scholarship will be applied to the reduced tuition fee payable in the placement year.
- Applicants should check the scholarship offer e-mail for any additional conditions attached to the scholarship offer.
- Successful candidates will be expected to work with the international recruitment team from time to time to serve as a student ambassador for the University during their period of study to help inform prospective students about study at Newcastle University. This may involve such activities as: attending physical or virtual presentations for prospective students; providing written or filmed testimonials/ vlogs and blogs for the University’s website; or serving as an advocate to help promote the scholarship programme. It may also include the University’s use of certain identifying data (such as the scholarship recipients’ names, nationalities and courses of study) in the context of the above and related activities. The time commitment for ambassador activities should not typically exceed 8 hours per semester.
- Details of successful scholarship recipients will be passed to Newcastle University Advancement Team who may contact students following graduation

Tuition fee waiver up to 50%
The following are not eligible to apply for awards:
- Medicine MBBS, Dental Surgery BDS and Dental Therapy BSc applicants
- Applicants applying through Clearing
- Study abroad and exchange students
- Current, registered students at the university who have already commenced their undergraduate degree at the time of the award. Awards cannot be made retrospectively
- Students repeating courses
- Students funded through partnerships between the University and external organisation
