This scholarship provides variable tuition fee waiver for first year students
This scholarship offers a merit-based award for new international undergraduate or postgraduate taught students joining the University of Hertfordshire’s UK campus in September 2026
Requirements
Requirements
Applicant must meet the following requirements to be eligible:
- Be a new international undergraduate or postgraduate taught student joining the UK campus in September 2026
- Be a first-time entrant to the University
- Have been offered and accepted a place on a full-time award-bearing University of Hertfordshire programme
- Be paying the full cost of the tuition fee from their own resources directly to the University of Hertfordshire
- Not be discounted or sponsored for any part of the fee by the University of Hertfordshire or an organisation such as an employer, charitable body or government department
- Not be University of Hertfordshire or HIC graduates
- Candidates will be required to meet all conditions of registration before the scholarship is awarded
- Not available for pre-sessional English, Research degrees, HIC, online courses, or preparatory programmes
- Prepatory programmes

- Unless exceptionally approved by the University, it cannot be combined with; Super Early Bird Scholarship, 20% Herts Graduate Scholarship, MBBS Scholarship, or UG Tri Annual Scholarship
- For students that withdraw (both student and university initiated); all full payment discounts will be removed. All other scholarships and discounts will be adjusted on a pro rata basis in line with the fee liability dates

- One-off waiver ranging from GBP 500 to GBP 4,000
- If fees are already paid in full, the amount may be used toward university accommodation costs (excluding the refundable £150 accommodation deposit)
