This scholarship provides annual tuition fee waiver for international students

This scholarship is available to new International and EU undergraduate students for 2026 entry. It is designed to recognize and reward students with outstanding academic achievement before starting their studies at the University of Glasgow.

How to qualify

Requirements

Applicant must meet the following requirements to be eligible:

  • Have International or EU (non-UK) fee status
  • Hold an offer of a place for an undergraduate programme for 2026
  • Demonstrate excellent academic achievement before starting University:
    • Qualifications already achieved: students holding the following A Level/IB (or local equivalent) grades are guaranteed a scholarship offer;
    • Qualification not yet achieved: students predicted, or who achieve, the following A Level/IB (or local equivalent) grades are guaranteed a scholarship offer. For offers made on the basis of predicted grades, the scholarship may be withdrawn if final exam results do not meet the grades outlined below.
  • Students should be self funded and students receiving external sponsorship discounts are not eligible
  • Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Medicine applicants are not eligible for this award

Highlights

  • Scholarships are renewable each year, subject to satisfactory academic progress
  • UofG discounts and scholarships cannot be combined with one another or any external sponsorship discounts
  • If you are offered more than one scholarship, the lower value award will be deleted from your account.

  • GBP 10,000 per year of study for students in:
    • College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences
    • College of Science and Engineering
  • GBP 7,000 per year of study for students in:
    • College of Arts
    • College of Social Sciences
