This scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver for undergraduate students
The University of Birmingham is pleased to announce scholarship awards for Malaysia-domiciled students applying for entry to an undergraduate programme at the Birmingham campus.

Requirements
- Have received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice by 30/04/2026 for a full-time undergraduate programme starting September 2026. The student must be entering the first year of an undergraduate programme based at the Birmingham UK campus.
- Students already registered and studying on a programme at the University of Birmingham in the UK, and students applying for MBChB Medicine and Surgery or BDS Dental Surgery are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Be on track to meet or exceed the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
- Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and * Be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
- Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
- Start their studies at the University in September 2026 (the scholarship award may not be deferred).
- Accept an offer from the University of Birmingham and be in contact with one of our local representatives by the deadline; 30 April 2026.
- Open to all nationalities but must be living in (domiciled) Malaysia.
- Selection for the award will be based on academic merit and the students who are deemed the highest performers.
- Students who are applying for government scholarships are still able to apply for our awards, but if the student does receive a full or partial government scholarship or alternative scholarship award then they are no longer eligible for this scholarship.

- By accepting the award, the scholar will agree to support the University by helping with future student visits, being available for testimonials/ photos/videos for marketing purposes and engaging in other activities such as blogging (if required).
- Inform the University promptly if they withdraw, defer, or take a leave of absence from their program.
- Where a student changes programme and the new programme is outside of the scholarship parameters, they will no longer be eligible for the scholarship.
