This scholarship provides tuition fee waiver for postgraduate taught home and international students
The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) is offering a number of scholarships to support students with the financial commitments of postgraduate study. These scholarships include the School of Academic Psychiatry Scholarships, School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences Scholarships, School of Neuroscience Scholarships, and the IoPPN Dean’s Scholarships.

- Scholarships are available for all full-time home and international fee status students undertaking an eligible Postgraduate Taught (PGCert, PGDip or MSc) course at the IoPPN starting in September 2026.
- Have applied to one of the full-time postgraduate taught programmes at the IoPPN (please see the full list of eligible courses below), due to commence their programme in September 2026 (please note scholarships cannot be deferred to 2027 or later entry). Your scholarship application will be considered together with your programme application, but you do not need to have received an offer from a programme to apply for a scholarship.
- Fulfil the relevant academic and English proficiency entry requirements for the postgraduate taught programme, set by King’s College London.
- As the award provides partial funding only, applicants must be able to confirm that they have/are seeking the means to support any outstanding fees/costs not covered by this scheme i.e., through other funding awards or self-funding.
- You must not already hold a Master’s, or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- You will be assessed on the strength of your application to your chosen Postgraduate Taught programme and your IoPPN Scholarship Application Form including:
- Academic qualifications and merit.
- Relevant clinical and/or work experience.
- Personal statement (you should explain why the programme of study to which you have applied is appropriate for you and your intended progression at the end of the course - you may use the same personal statement as the one used to apply to your chosen Postgraduate Taught programme)
- The deadline for the scholarship applications for academic year 2026/2027 is Friday 22 May 2026 (17.00 GMT).

- Successful applicants may be asked to contribute to a recruitment and/or careers-related activities after they have graduated.
- These activities may include recording or writing a testimonial about their experiences as a postgraduate student at the IoPPN, attending an online or in person careers-related event to talk about their career after graduating, and/or share their student experience at an online or in person open day or offer holder event for prospective students.
