This scholarship provides tuition fee waiver for eligible international students
UTS Academic Excellence International Scholarship was established to attract high performing commencing international students who wish to undertake an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney
Requirements
Requirements
- Open for international students (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia)
- Meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program; and
- For undergraduate coursework admission, completed an Australian Year 12 or UTS recognised high school studies comparable to an Australian Year 12 or an Australian Foundation Studies program, and be admitted to UTS based on this qualification; or
- For Honours course admission, completed a UTS recognised bachelor degree and be admitted to UTS based on this qualification; or
- For postgraduate coursework admission, the most recently completed and UTS recognised tertiary qualification at an Australian Bachelor degree level or higher or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT Exam) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE General Test) (both tests accepted for admission into UTS Business School programs only), and be admitted to UTS based on this qualification; and
- Commence full-time and on campus (Sydney)
- Must not:
- Be studying a UTS online degree or distance degree; or
- Complete an approved external articulation or pathway program from an institution outside of Australia; or
- Be a recipient of other UTS scholarships or grants or the UTS Alumni Advantage Program for the duration of this Scholarship and be a government sponsored student.

- The Recipient must maintain a minimum Pass average (WAM 50+) in each session. Where a pass average is not achieved, payment of the Scholarship may be suspended or terminated, unless the Recipient can demonstrate exceptional circumstances for the consideration of Scholarship Selection Committee.
- The Recipient must continue to be enrolled as a full-time (usually 24 credit points per session and 48 credit points per year) international student in the eligible UTS program for the duration of the Scholarship.
- May apply to UTS International Scholarships to transfer the Scholarship from an undergraduate program to another undergraduate program or from a postgraduate coursework program to another postgraduate program if an internal course transfer is being sought.
- Any Academic Misconduct allegations proven by the University (and upheld if appealed) wil result in the termination of this Scholarship and the University might require the Recipient to repay the total benefit received at time of termination
- The recipient will be invited to consent to allowing their name, photograph and/or short article to be used for the promotion of UTS.
