Criteria

  • National or State-level [minimum participation in Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA)] athletes or;
  • Candidates who have emerged as winners in either National or International sports tournaments.
  • To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be NEW students at UOW Malaysia in 2024 intakes and have paid the full enrolment fee.

Highlights

  • Successful recipients are required to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (or equivalent) throughout their duration of study in order to maintain their scholarship.
  • All fees paid are non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the scholarship application.
  • Scholarship recipients who receive scholarship value of >30% of the tuition fee are required to undergo a Student Ambassador program of 48 hours per year during the duration of their scholarship, which includes working with different departments within UOW Malaysia for enhanced exposure, acting as an Ambassador of UOW Malaysia at various events, attending leadership development programs etc, in order to continue their scholarship in subsequent semester(s).

Details

Driving Dream Scholarship is specially designed for students who dare to strive for their dreams. The award seeks to help students demonstrating a strong sporting or leadership capability to drive their dreams.

Application

  • Scholarship is based on ACTUAL examination results only. Forecast or trial results will not be accepted.
  • Applicant must be enrolled as a student of UOW Malaysia and pay the full enrolment fee to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • The scholarship application deadline, along with the submission of all required documents, is set at two (2) weeks after the start of each semester on the following dates: 15 January, 20 May, 1 July, and 9 September 2024.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview within one month after the application closing date.
  • All shortlisted candidates are required to attend an interview. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of application. Only successful candidates will be notified of the outcome after the interview.
